Monkey cake

Celebrating a new arrival to the family is a special occasion and one that has lost of meaning to the parents and their friends and family.

With this in mind a brief was given to Combine Cakes to produce a cake featuring Brian (an adopted monkey) holding the new baby in a towel covered in pineapples and parsnips (don’t ask why). The plain sponge cake is covered in milk chocolate fur and contrasting dark chocolate face. The baby and blanket are sculpted from icing and hand painted to pick out the pineapple and parsnip design.

This cake went down really well with the family. They just think it looks too good to eat! It was great you could produce it within the week ready for when the baby arrived.
